SiamHoney's 3 Keys to Better Thai-Western Relationships

Helping to build better Thai-Western relationships is our main goal here on SiamHoney and it can be a difficult one to achieve. We have tried to make it a bit easier by breaking it down into 3 key areas: knowledge, communication and understanding. And we are very happy to be working with some excellent sources in order to provide you with the best information in each of these areas.

For more details, please link to the main page of each key area.

1. Knowledge - Learn the Facts

We all want to know the truth and so our good friend William S. Basinger from Single in Siam is here to help explain the who, what, where, when, why and how as they apply to Thai women and the dating scene in Thailand. William has been busy interviewing Thai ladies for his new book and has plenty of interesting material to share with us.

2. Communication and Language Skills

Thai-Western relationships are often made more difficult due to personal communication issues. Improving your Thai language skills is a huge plus and so ITS4Thai has joined with us to help get you started. We will also advise you on the proper way to speak to Thai women because we all know it's not always what you say, but how you say it that counts.

3. Understanding Cultural Differences

Cultural misunderstandings are a frequent problem in many Thai-Western relationships. The good news is that most of these problems can be avoided if the participants take the time to learn more about each others basic beliefs. Using the "Thailand Fever" book as our reference guide, we will address some common issues that you should be aware of.
